#4 doodles

i actually did this one two weeks ago, but i didn't post it. i felt like the scanned version didn't catch the right colors (or was it just me). but i decided to be true to my blog and post this anyway. i didn't want to use the scanned image, so i took a picture using a digicam and... it's still the same! (again, maybe it's just me...)

this one was very relaxing to make. i felt i was doodling, which is what i usually do when i'm too lazy to think about anything. i did this a lot in high school... and also in college...and sometimes at work :) my partner-in-doodling, Donna, and I made a lot of doodles during high school :) we bought a big notebook and filled it with pointless doodles especially during &$@*Kfdsk class (i don't want to tell which class - party because i can't remember hehe...) Dong nasan na yung notebook???

by the way, i googled the meaning of "doodle" (hey, it rhymes) and it's "to draw aimlessly". so if I say "pointless doodles", i'm actually being redundant... so can there ever be a doodle with a point? i'm babbling...

better than ezra

i'm currently updating my youtube playlist and i discovered another wonderful song from my favorite band better than ezra :) you have to listen to this:

#2 staircase

my second sketch.

this view is from a seminary in lipa, batangas. jaydee and i went there last september for a pre-wedding interview with the priest. we waited for him in a really big room, with a high ceiling and very limited furniture. the place was really old, but very clean, and very very quiet. there was light coming in from the window, and the shadows made the place look really mysterious....like you can make up a lot of stories about it. i wanted to look around, but i'm pretty sure they don't allow it.

it took some time for me to cover the entire walls with colors, and the brush strokes are so sharp. i realized i needed a bigger brush :P
